The Point of No Return
About life and its many ways, I do feel so bothered
Life and its norms have never been that which I preferred
See, I live not like a social outcast
Rather, I do not care to see the shadows and the glows which life does cast
Yes, I have reached a point from which I shall never return
I have reached a point, yes, the point of no return
Pray, a choice it has been
A choice whose aim is not to be socially seen
Yes, I have chosen to cater solely to my duty
My duty and my passion for poetry
My duty, being my mission on this Earth
And my poetry, being but a reward for my faith!
Yes, I have chosen to indulge only in thus
The rest I do see as being merely a fuss
A fuss being but a result of the expanding power of the Maya
A fuss, threatening to be, at any time, the cause of mundane dementia!
Why, I shall live as long as I can, as a Queen, one leading always a tango
A tango with the ways of life's puzzles, a tango, sensual and slow
A tango, being but my reactions to this world's empty meanings
A tango, being the way I react to this world for being so confusing!
Yes, a point I have reached
Of spinsterhood I do now preach
Pray, it shall be tough to have me change my decision
For the pleasures of this world, I do see as being made of derision
Life and its cause, I do find rather, in those books of holiness
Life and its cause, I do feel for rather, by admiring the skies
Life and I are already in a relationship
A relationship, whose seeds, at a specified time, I shall reap!
Yes, I am standing firm at the point I am
I am standing firm even if none do see my point
I am standing firm even if the world sees me as one so different
I am standing firm, for what is here, does never last!
Of this point I have reached, pray, do take note
For such has allowed me to glimpse of the heavenly gate
Such shall allow me to see what I dream of now
Someday, when my time here shall be seen as late!
