The Poem You Have All Read
Words mashed in the blender
All I say
You have read before
Love hurts
Lovers cry
We all die
We all look to the sky
Asking why
Nothing is new
We all bleed
We all exhale the gasses of yesterday
The world is cruel
Full of wars and death
The oceans will drown us
The monsoons shall make sure
Zeus will deny us our dreams
You have read it all before
The blood
The gore
The fat lady sings
The world is still here
The opera will open another night
We shall drink champagne
Reading silly poems of bashful lovers
That we all have read before
Graveyards rise up in taunting laughter
I, me
I surrender to you
I have lost all my words
I am empty of thought, not a letter left
Only lust remains
For the woman unseen
Untouched
Till my lips
Make her quiver
For more
More poetic verse
