The Phoenix Heart

Some think love is a wish that meets every need Some feel it is a blade that leads your heart to bleed The hearts that are blinded by love to the very core Are the ones that can’t seem to see anything more It’s the soul afraid of leaping that never learns to soar, It’s the heart whose faith the sea is keeping That never sees the shore It’s the heart too shy to speak That never learns to sing It’s the hearts whom fear looking weak That never does anything When the journey has been too lonely And the world gets too cold And you start believing love is only For the beautiful and the bold Remember when dead after one final clash The phoenix rises again from under the ash Bigger and brighter than ever before All wounds are gone and it’ll be mighty forevermore.
