The Perfect Day

The light of the sun looks down on earth, like a face with a gentle smile The earth so unique and magnificent, moves with a graceful style But when clouds come out and move about and try to make foul play The earth and sun, work together as one, to create the perfect day Written in Queens, New York -Circa 1993

What makes a perfect day??? expand your thinking beyond tthe obvious. This is pleasant but lacks the depth I feel within your other pieces. This is a great title and from it you can weave an emotionaly impactful poem. ( I hope this is not to honest, it is not my intention to be critical but rather to open up your poetic spirit)

No way man I appreciate your honesty and you're right this one does lack depth. No excuse, but this was one of my earlier poems, I wrote this one at about 15. LOL! I still remember sitting in class writing it LOL! Still, it's and old favorite of mine, though I've thought many times of revising it. Now maybe I will. Thanks Rick!!! MC
