The Pearly Gate
Hi, up there, its me, again.
It hasn't been a week since you forgave my bane,
Truly, one would say I deserve the cane
Since I have missed the mark and ran on a different lane
With the consequence etched in my mind,
I neglected your admonition and went straight for the devils bind,
I once said that I will never tire until you I will find,
But with the same lips course and hostility came,
Am sorry if in the process I shamed your name.
My only prayer is this,
Lord give me the grace,
To keep up the pace
That I may not fail in heavenly race,
Help me to keep it to the next phase, so that when am lost in a world vase,
Your grace will be my trace. Amen.
