The Pearl

There's beauty in the smallest pearl-- the darkest grain of sand-- the cry of eagle and of lark-- the curve of sea and land-- I have seen it in the human heart -- within it, folded down: beauty --deep as could be hid-- the Pearl Diver found. JVB 2006 Pine Hill Navajo Indian Reservation, New Mexico

I'm surprised to see responses! Do you have to, or are you "for real"? Some people follow my writings because I'm also an artist & writer with a history. I suspect YOUTUBE & similar Internet sites will revive respect for the true poet. Poetry is the most distilled product of our thoughts, and just as wine, some poetry is cheap: for others, it is life, itself. The Magazine Bus was an early effort. My lover was Lee Harvey Oswald. See judythvarybaker.com re my new book, ME & Lee & my life in exile.
