The Path Home

As we slowly near the end of our days. When we have finally reached our old age. There seems to be a sudden panic to change our ways. The tunnel to the light has gotten a whole lot shorter. So now we seek to put our spiritual house in order. At one time to have a better life and I wants were our fervrant prayers. These days it's a prayer of contrition hoping to keep the light on until we can get there. This is now an edited and up dated version of this poem.

Just a shout-out post to all Terry Lee's friends and followers: My Dear sister Terry Lee made 'the Transition' at the end of January 2017. In an effort to preserve her work; I am reviewing all her poems. As I scan through your comments, I discover aspects of Terry I had not been in touch with; and I appreciate your compassionate, kind words; gifts that have facilitated my own comfort. Consciousness is energy we all share which cannot be destroyed. Thanks to all of you. Thom Allen

I find that as I reach 64 I feel settled and ready. There really is no reason to fear for He is always near. God bless, Keith

The bitter truth is intense and so true Terry. You touch a chord as I am getting there and it seems a struggle to separate the good from the bad at times. Love this bit of wisdom!

Enjoyed the write. From your comment below this meant to be funny about how people become more religious towards later part of thier life. This is true for all the religions I think.Worse sinners make better religious persons.
