The Park
The Park
Have we met before
In a long time past when I was young
and full of promise
I think I saw you in a Park
at night sitting on a bench alone
and the light from a lamp
reflected on your hair
giving off a golden glint
you had a very pleasant face
then you looked at me
what appeared as deep dark eyes
as a hint to beckon me
to come and say
Hello
I wasn't ready to say hello
The tide of time moved forward
and I played the rogue
traveling miles around the world
In seeking life's pleasures
avoiding She
with the glint in her hair
in all the worlds Parks
Now I am ancient
My life has been vamped
with just my memories to support me
and life has lost its substance
I'm alone in a vacuum
I will see you in a Park
And I'm ready to say
Hello
