The Painful Truth
Wait, did you think what you said didn't hurt me because on the next day I spoke to you ever so sweetly? Wasn't it you who called me needy when with arms outstretched I embraced thee? Do you think you are somehow better than me, because you love conditionally? I know the truth which spewed from me was stifling to you. Ebbing, creeping crawling down a mountain of untruths . Exposing all you fought so hard to burry deep inside. So determined were you not to let anything get by. Cling if you must, engulfed in distrust as that is all you know. But the painful truth is sure and absolute and is always waiting at your door.
