The Overture of Spring
The explosion of spring is heralded by the sound
of the golden trumpets of the daffodils
Playing an overture to Spring
Listen, you can hear the robin as he trills loves tune
making a nest ready for the eggs she is carrying
The tuning of Spring
The buzzing insects, as they start a long day,
The babbling brook as it tinkles by
The grassy banks by the rivers side
with it's many worms ventilating it inside
This is Spring
So colourful a picture, flowers of delicate hue,
sky starting to look fresher, with it's many pockets of blue.
Beginning of Spring
Many a girl and boy, walk and run by,
hand in hand, heart 's racing, why?
Cos it's spring.
By the summer their hearts might have strayed
For now it is Spring.
Life is full of beginnings never ending.
Joy of now never descending.
Let's sing about Spring everlasting love pretending.
The overture of Spring
