The Other Me
I have always been a single man,
Of more than one voice,
I don’t even realize he’s there,
Until I have to make a choice,
I always have the best intentions,
At least from the start,
I try to treat everyone in life as equals,
Even when they don’t fit the part.
Don’t let them do that to you,
Let them see my expression on your face,
You work ten times as hard as they do,
You deserve the good parking space.
Stand up for what is yours, you don’t have to ask!
Take the biggest piece,
Be the first to choose before there’s a choice,
Let my thoughts and your actions never cease.
Take the initiative! Lead the way!
Heed my words as this I must say,
Let me take control of your life
And this promise to you I’ll give,
You will have all you need in life,
And never want as long as you live.
