The Other Man
Friends have told me they
have seen the two of you together.
Laughing and running around town.
They say that she's the life
of every party she goes to.
But only when I'm not around.
They say they've seen your car
a few times in our driveway.
And they say they've seen you come and go.
I know you think you want her
and you think she wants you too.
But friend, there's something you should know.
She's not the woman
that you think you're loving.
She longs for a strangers hand.
She'll lead you on
and then she'll leave you alone.
I know 'cause once, I was the other man.
The first time I saw her
she was sitting alone.
In a place where I used to go.
She gave me a wink
after I bought her a drink.
Ohh how was I to know?
She's not the woman
that you think you're loving
She longs for a strangers hand
She'll lead you on
and then she'll leave you alone.
I know 'cause once, I was the other man.
