The Other Guy
I’m following you
on a Friday night
Once again you said
that you were too busy
for our date night
Now I’m sitting in the corner
being ignored
Thanks for nothing you [tramp]
It’s like I don’t exist
but you promised it would never be like this
I insisted you deserved better than me
a position your persistently denied
And here you are focusing on another guy
So I’m seeing that you were just being kind
all the compliments were [merely] lies
While you’re slamming the door in my face
I know that I’m in the wrong place
And now I see that your love
is laced with a stranger
So I’ll just leave discretely in anger
while the sight impales my tearing eyes
I should have stayed in bed
and loved you forever
believing your [countless] lies
