The Only Thing You Feel
When pierced by Cupid's arrow,
it's the only thing you feel.
For love banishes all pain
to the fringes of real.
As euphoria floods in,
sparks spontaneously start.
And a warm sensation stirs
in the cockles of your heart.
Forged upon desire's anvil,
fantasies burn hot as coal.
And tides of hope surge and ebb
in a lonely heart and soul.
Freed by the passage of time,
anxieties drift away.
And though love levies its toll,
it's one you will gladly pay.
