The One That Almost Got Away
Through the depths and valley of mystery
Waves of life encompassed me,
Like a verse to a forgotten sonnet
Written by estranged sisters -- As thoughts
Lost in the land of obscurities
There, where pathways passed the streams
Visions find home in the mused mountains--
So full are the rhythmic rhymes,
That the bard must keep pace with time…
As clouds of verse lightly cooled, the sun’s gleam
Words poured from caves as thoughtful dreams,
Finding their way to the ears of those placed upon sitting stones
Listening as parents took turns spouting
The mysterious verse of a beloved poem, which paved the way home
