The One

I can only be one. The funny one. The kind one. Or even the silly one. But I’m just the crazy one. In every group I try. But I always give myself away. I implode with twitching, My rambling, and sticking my tongue out. Suddenly I am monstrous. They walk away, trying not to run or laugh. They’ll never know that I can be funny or kind or silly. I never got that chance to try. I can only be myself. I can only be one.
