The Old Barn
As the first warm rays of sun kiss the top
Of the weathered roof, and begins to glow.
For as long as it stands the sun won’t stop,
As its light shines on the old barn below.
It’s the same for each of us every day,
Though weathered and old we will stand alone.
And we’ll feel every golden sunlit ray
Shinning on our face ‘till the day is done.
When our bodies can no longer stand tall,
And we can no longer keep up the pace,
There is a light that will shine above all,
A light to lead us to a better place.
Embrace the warm sun with its golden light,
And raise your face to heaven every night.
