The Night the Candles Went Out
The ballroom was filled with floating glitter and gold
As the dancers were gliding, a scene to behold
They bow and they curtsy, their hands they hold tight
And the ballroom was lit with a thousand candle's light
The candles grew colder as their flames flickered out
The dancers kept dancing with no movement in doubt
As rays from the moon splayed on the dresses they wore
And shined through the windows to light up the floor
Though the candles grew softer and melted away
The ballroom was enchanting from the moon's light display
And all who are here feel like their dancing on air
In rays from the moonlight in a ballroom they share
