The Night Heart and the Traveler
The Night Heart and The Traveler
Poem
Lionel Derbyshire
Teary is the corner of my eye
Tired and blinking up and down
I am fixed at your house
Will you let me in ..
A weary walker I am
Standing at your gate.
Night heart..
Will you make for me ..
A home and bed tonight
I am far from my father's house.
Tonight is cold and long
Thy homely house is full of..
Welcome grace.
Syrup on bread
Is most welcome.
" I am lost. "
This is my story
But in me O Lord
My God ..
You live.
Night heart your smile is ..
My happy.
For now I have found ..
My Father's house
Where there are many rooms
Then Jesus lifted me up
To his side with
Come to me grace ..
And in His heart Jesus said
" Child you were dead
And I have found you
We bring you clothes
And we will feast "
And there was joy ..
In this house.
