The New Jerusalem
What is this tumult in the desert?
What is this vicious beast?
It salivates for the throne of David.
Slowly it clambers to the east.
Large in size, but cumbersome it moves.
It can only strike fear in a dubious way.
Though the lion encroaches on Bethlehem throne,
The new citadel stands there this day.
The gyre has come full circle.
The loose ends have been tied down.
Chaos has receded, and sanctification is completed.
The feline trembles before the celestial town.
Indeed, the messiah was true from the start.
Underfoot he crushes the Egyptian lurch.
On the watchtower of the New Jerusalem,
The falcon has found its perch.
