The Morrissey Song
She stood on the corner, all wafty and wan
In tears, in a tee-shirt with Morrissey on
Her lover was lost and the last bus had gone
She stood on the corner, she tore out her hair
She looked up the road but no nothing was there
I told you, sang Morrissey, life isn’t fair
She stood on the corner, she moaned and she cried
As Morrissey groaned as if someone had died
In a song about crying but smiling inside
She stood on the corner, her heart fit to burst
He’s lost and it’s gone and I’m done for! she cursed
The Morrissey song, though. That was the worst.
