The Morning Star!

And as I gaze inside your eyes Toward the depths of your priceless heart In search of longings that have caressed my soul Wondering, as a nomad across these planes.... For where you live and where you dream These dreams that breathe, their breath for me Your beauties, which I had never known.... As a star amid the celestial night It is your treasure, that I have sought and seek That shall eternally guide this princes path Unto the always, and the forever beyond.... Before these moments that have marked this place With glitters upon its golden glass Its chalice once filled with sweetened wine Which grew bitter, as the new day dawned The flower that withered within these hands That once thought itself, but a brightened rose.... And as I gaze inside your eyes Unto the distant of a yearning soul A nomad I have searched and been Upon the planes of dust, this prince Waiting, for the King of time.... Who breathed his breath of hope in me The dreams of life that life once dreamt Within a world, that he could never hold? .............Holding............. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Morning Star!

.... John there is only one word, and that word is "LOVE".. or you could say..compassion, or understanding... or even acceptance, but all these forces that humans look upon as being good and right, truthful and honest, all of them have one word in our language... I have spent a great deal of my life studying the spirit John, in the written word, in people and in myself.... there is only one thing that will save us all in the end and that is "LOVE".. best wishes my friend..... ..... Religion John, Any religion, in my view was a creation of greedy people who sort control over the masses for their own gain, God did not write the Bible or the Koran.. men did. Religion uses mans innate fear of the unknown as a political control.. ie "Do as we say or you will burn in the ever lasting fires of Hell".... I believe in a much kinder, loving, understanding and wholly forgiving deity, who does not have any sense of eternal revenge....

Hello John... you are making me smile and laugh to myself... now you would think a victim of possession would have, shall we say a few more "choice" words in his/her vocabulary.... John I do not believe in either The God or the Devil of religion... but I do believe and I do have a faith in the spiritual/soul, I just cannot believe a "God" would create a place like Hell or be so hard hearted as to cast an angel into it or a human....

Wow! I can imagine the nomad wandering the plains and gazing at star-filled skies. What a romantic notion! Lovely work John and many thanks, once again, for all the wonderful feedback you leave on my work.

An absolutely breathtakingly beautiful poem John - I'm kind of in a bad place emotionally the last day or so - I totally agree with your comment we all have our own walk with the Lord Jesus Christ and we all have our own place in his works - I hated so much in my life that I have no room for it anymore - I struggle with violence and even the tiniest seed of hatred or anger just turns into a time bomb - At any rate I thank you for being my friend John - God Bless, Michael

... odd isn't it, how so many things that were very sacred and spiritual, such as the day of the dead; even Christmas; have now become a fashionable, marketing free for all and by such have become stripped of all their meaning..... except for the few of us who can see beyond the lies, use and abuse, and realise that some things are better; or should be left off the shopping shelf..... aye John they strip us of our dignity and spirituality .. or try to to, sweet Jesus how they try.. they R wining

Hi John... as you may have gathered I live in Spain, and we have just celebrated the "Day of The Dead"... apart from all the Halloween clap trap... this day has always been very sacred amongst most European communities. Dressing up as the dead has become a farce of what it used to mean, as an act of remembrance for that years departed, where their lives were celebrated. Dressing up as the dead was the prerogative of family members "only" if no one had died that year one did not dress up.... odd

........ " The Morning Star".. emphasis as always, a thing I have come to expect in your yearning search to vocalise the beauty you have found "Though we are bound by a different covenant our goal is the same." From "Contact" ( one of my favorite films )... we are not rivals John, just friends treading the same path by different footsteps..... curious did you know that "Rival" in olde C18th English meant "best friend"

Hello John ... strange thing this compulsion to write; ( I think you would agree )... but you will make me blush beyond my raging hormonal problem, your comments are beyond gratitude ... I think that Christie poetic art is flowering wouldn't you agree to that to ( I think so ).. / Darkness and Light John that which created; created all; and created "I" and "I" am but a humble servant of both and so "I" rejoice in both...........
