The Moon Was a Giant Pearl

The Moon was a giant pearl last night That hang from a brilliant chain of stars. Its brightness glowed in a covering light, I tried to reach for it, it was too far. I slumbered on to a fanciful dream Where I rode on white clouds floating by, Touching the glitter of every moonbeam Like diamonds laid on velvet blue sky. With amazing speed, I soared galaxies, Then white clouds seem to have melted, Like a shooting star my flight's gone amiss With a thud I fell on my soft, downy bed. Cynthia Buhain-Baello~~~03.07.15

How lovely this poem is Cynthia and it coincided with the moon last night as it was like a beautiful big pearl, and every now and then the clouds would pass over it and block it and then like a big pearl it would come out again, it was lovely, your poem described every minute of it, thank you so much for sharing and take care........Vera
