The Moon Outside My Window
As I sit motionless at my table,
looking outside my window and to see the starlight moon
lighting out the darkness
as the purple night sky conquers all in darkness.
The moon is watching over me,
protecting me in a way that makes me smile,
and she smiles down, as her croissant shape
gives me a friendly wink,
as to be the eye in the twilight sky.
The sun is long gone now,
and the moon has taken the spotlight of my heart,
do what you do best, moon.
Oh how the moon it sings to me,
my spirits are lifted in the darkest nights,
for she is always there, somewhere,
even if I cant see her, she is still there;
The moon outside my window smiles down on me,
and I look up and smile at her.
