The Moment Passed

I was lost within the rhythmic dancing Pulsating flames held my gaze, Each waving tip I found entrancing As I stared into the glowing blaze. Radiant warmth filled the room Comforting as a mothers arms, The flames and I seemed to commune I was lost in thought, far from harm. There I sat, my mind elsewhere 'Twas just a fire, but held me fast No train of thought I just stared, The flames then died, the moment passed. Ahhh!! It is good that you enjoyed the fire anyway. Never really enjoyed the fires that I had to build, help cut the wood, carry it to the house in all kinds of weather, etc. The heat pump is so much easier. Sara

I remember it well, watching flames dancing, warm memories of days long gone by. Lovely poem, good luck... Belle
