The Migrating Mistress

The Migrating Mistress it started in September those words he'd heard before oh! how much I love you but I need something more the sad song of the sparrow searching for a distant shore he watched as she was leaving till she left his sight fell face first in his hands and cried clear though the night but with time and consolation the darkness turned to light but the sparrow always comes back instinct prerecords her flight so in April when he saw her he held on with all his might but something inside told him things would never be all right Someone wise once said alls fair in love and war It's a blessing and a curse you'll never know for sure unless you stand beside her till you knock on heaven's door By: Jeremy Siedlecki
