The Midnight Hour
Midnight is a magic hour
When my pen glides with ease.
Adjectives and nouns line up
The finest taste to please.
The sounds of day are muted
And my muse is liberated.
The silence of the midnight hour
Cannot be over-stated.
The magic hour of midnight
Has its own sweet melody
That calls for pretty phrases
In inspiring poetry.
