The Mayor of My Town
Every day, walking past the mayor's house I would go.
He never said a word to me; not even a "hello".
One day, everything changed, and he spoke to me.
This was one of the most amazing things I would see.
The mayor stood at his fence, and we had a good conversation.
It was an event that turned out to be a great occasion.
So many nice things the mayor had to say.
That just happened to be the day before Election Day.
