The Man Who Inspired Me Most
THE MAN WHO INSPIRED ME MOST
My Father was a carpenter by trade
Until He decided to preach instead
He traveled around neighborhood
Healing the sick and raising the dead
He was hated by His jealous peers
Who sought to do Him wrong
He was often greeted by heated jeers
But His faith was very strong
He often fed thousands all at one time
His compassion for them was great
He never received a single dime
From the multitudes who ate
He chose twelve men to follow His lead
He taught them all that He knew
They taught others of His every deed
Those who believed were more than a few
Despised and hated, He soon would have to die
Crucified cruelly on a Roman cross
But He rose again for you and I
So we would not have to be lost
We celebrate His Birth each year
Because we love Him without shame
He loves us with a love so dear
And Jesus is His Name
