The Man In the Sky
If there's a man in the sky,
I've ignored him for a while.
He's never stopped my cries,
Never induced my smiles.
If there's a man in the air,
I say he's ignored me;
He's always made himself,
Impossible to see.
I once thought to myself,
If such a life were mine,
Ten billion loving kids,
Would I make them all blind?
Or would i share the wealth,
And make it love that binds.
If there's so much free space,
And so much time to lose,
Give us our own damned worlds,
We'll Damn them how we choose.
If you're so great and fair,
Then even you must see,
This master plan of yours,
It's quite the travesty.
So let us have a life,
Where we are free to breathe,
Where we can focus on,
All of the happy things.
Not on the sacrifice,
And the wars you bring.
Give us a chance at hope,
A life without you, please.
I once thought to myself,
If I could start a world
My own utopia,
Then let it all spiral,
Would that make me evil,
Or just a deity?
Would that make god Satan,
Or just a spawn of me?
