The Man

There used to be a man in the body One that was strong and smiled One day she broke his heart He was never again the same He wants to find his old self And doesn't even remember his name He was once kind and giving Knowledgeable and smart But she took all that And ripped his world apart Deep down I hope he is still there For a second his heart could see The world for it's every color I wish that man could be set free Under the skin Under the pain Deep under He is still sane There used to be a man in the body One that was strong and smiled One day she broke his heart He was never again the same He wants to find his old self And doesn't even remember his name And as far as he has fell He's still falling As much as he's hurt The pain won't fade He is still drowning in the current And can no longer wade There used to be a man in the body But as anyone can now see He is long gone My spirit has left me
