The Maid of the Mists

Some love only azure blue and bright gold But there’s beauty in the softening mists All other colours they sweetly enfold We walked hushed while our skin they gently kissed The world around you ne’er was plain Some love only azure blue and bright gold Every colour is in your face and train Your loving heart I longed to hold Opalescent was the sky when in morn cold You rose as silent as the new dawn's light Some love only azure blue and bright gold You tore me from my mists to the world bright You were my dream: I followed you Until I saw your lover bold Her riches broke me far from my mists true Some love only azure blue and bright gold

Grace, this has an old fashioned elegant feel to it. Very pretty imagery! I love quaterns.

From your title, I thought you would be writing about one of the tourist boats at Niagara Falls. However, I see that is not the case. This is an impressive writing with better than average descriptiveness and very appropriate rhyming.
