The Magic of Autumn

Crackling leaves Laughing with delight As they swirl and twirl In the crimson light Around the bond fire Snapping flames Glowing in the night Near the lake The water breaking As the birds take flight Frosty orange pumpkins Watching from the vine On the porch Kegs of apple cider And cherry wine Crispy whispers Blowing through the pines As the magic spell of autumn Once again unwinds.
