The Love
Soft sighs, dark sky's, the night is upon us, I feel your body kick against the call for sleep, your body jerks, fighting against the contented pull of our island. With dark comes our escape to a place nowhere defined, no directions, nor plotting of maps can take you there. We are the only true navigators to a place safe and content in our hearts. A place with love of wondrous proportion, a landscape that's vast yet containing. You sleep, I watch your chest rise and fall, I am entranced by your gentle breathing, you exhausted by the days difficulties we come to rest as one.
Rhythm of our beating heart, slow to a gentle waltz, dancing in our sleep, without movements, a connectedness of the mind. A unison of love that powers our day to day existence. While we sleep our island draws closer over the horizon, the sun kissed sand the foliage of a tropical backdrop envelopes us, as we get lost in each other's gaze. Here on our island the days never end, just punctuated by kisses, hugs and soft cherished moments of intimate love. I cast the boat away from the shore and watch our dreams drift on the tide of our continuous flow of love. Just rest my love, trust the hand of the man that truly loves you, its about the here, the now, the precious vow, I love you Jo, please don't ever let me go.
