The Longest Night

My longest night will come. A never ending stream of thought, which starts and ends with you. I counted the days that passed hoping to mend the broken pieces only to realize, that there's a place we just couldn't reach. Nights were mere reflections Of a man I used to be. And this candle will die and still this restless Soul reaches for someone very close Yet very far from the river towards his heart. I carry a heavy burden. An undying flame which still burns within... A kind of pain that'll never heal. A kind of dream that just won't go away. I gave you a part of me that never sleeps. A soul tired of thinking. The sun will ease the pain. But every hour, I get closer to the familiar sense of loss. And my longest night will come. Which starts and ends with you.
