The Lonesome Road

The lonesome road beckons To a life that’s had enough It taunts until he crashes And he sees he’s not so tough To the highway on the horizon To the lands of despair The lonesome road will take him To a place that doesn’t care What awaits him at the end? Only time will ever tell But be sure say hello for me To the deep, dark, lonesome well It laughs at every bend and turn It hoots at every crest For the long and lonesome journey Through the desert to the west 11-Jun-2007
