The Lonely Bride

When I lonely wander through these roads To and fro in search of my abode Gently does the wind caress my face Whispering Your words for me to trace: “If I leave your side, my dear, for now I do leave to prep a place for thou And will I the same return again That where I am, there you may remain.” So, I in this lonely world sojourn Our separation causes me to mourn… When will You return to bring me home That I may no longer sorrowed, roam? When shall we sit down to feast above When shall in the clouds we share our love? When I lonely wander through these roads To and fro with feelings overflowed Gently does the wind my tears erase Till one day I rest in Your embrace!
