The Line Was Just
A hand held out with an open palm
To hold devoted without surrender
And allow trust to settle into calm
Nothing more complete this silent splendor
In reason I find a need without fear
To keep a trust on its logical course
Understand this unspoken bond so clear
When a line is crossed, it causes discourse
Unfailing turns sour when trust is broken
When faith and honor are soiled by doubt
Whether by deed or action, word unspoken
To find there was no devotion throughout
Resolute in a line not to adjust
To walk away, for the line was just
Contest...Loyalty
