The Life of Love
Listen to poem:
Morning's light beckons a new day,
to carry 'till night's darkness
A day to share love,
whispering to its chosen heart
Opening a door to welcome in,
and feel each breath touch the fingertips of love
Entering newborn and innocent,
so the gift given will not be tarnished,
to be as pure as love accepted
It is the yearnings and desires of those seeking comfort,
in a world where love is more than acknowledgment,
releasing freedom in the heart,
of compassion outside ourselves
To live and yes die, for those we love
Where each emotion hangs like fruit,
to be tasted
Love moves through time at its own leisure
Until it ends,
where sadness waits,
and the only sound is from tears falling,
down its chosen face
A face that once carried the vibrant smiles of two souls
