The Life Giver
And finally the rain comes down
To cool the paths and earth,
Allowing the plants and flowers
To keep on giving birth.
It makes the air smell new and sweet
And we wait for the thunders rumble
Whilst rain drops continue to hit the floor
They drip and drop and tumble.
The water feels good upon my skin
As it takes the muggy air away
The drops fall through the grass and leaves
It's like they've come to play
The rain can be a nuisance
But always remember this
Without the rain we have dryness
We need it to exist
