The Letter

The letter I wrote on your wall Scribbled thoughts I could no longer hide from you My feelings open I feel vulnerable As all I had kept inside Shouted out from the wallpaper Every word gives birth to ten others I fight to keep up as they burst from my mind My writing becomes smaller and smaller As I search for the space for the next line As the flow slows Of all I want you to know As I stand back to celebrate my work I realize there's no evidence of walls once white As i'd filled every space with words in blue Letters merged of sentences blurred Drained of every way to explain Lost with where I ended or started That night when you returned You wondered why Once white your walls were now blue I guess you will never know They held all I will never tell you
