The Lessons Learned
THE LESSONS LEARNED
Africa starving, droughts that go for years
Ask yourself who amongst you really cares
Who; really took it all on board, their strife
Life was cheap to every child that lost a life
The clocks will turn; it is us next on the list
We will suffer as they suffered, get the gist
Time is of no matter, in turns we will suffer
As to cry out we have never had it rougher
And you understand all their trips to death
Stepping into their hungry bellies so bereft
It is times like this we see how lucky we are
We’ll suffer nothing more than a minor scar
The dictators and tyrants; we will have it all
Nowhere else to run to, no safe port of call
We never think, no water or a roof over us
We are just so bloody special why because
There; is no why; do believe me when I say
We are nothing, and, not special in any way
Will we, as really wake up from this warning
Realise the gift given to us all next morning
That we even got a blessed right to breathe
As you go then, lay your neighbours wreath
Should; your time come, never ask, why me
But, thank the Lord, the life given onto thee
As every day was a blessing, be sure of that
God come a calling, now, he wants you back
You will all return, just in another time frame
To be more knowledged; to live life yet again
Learned on this earth how to be the survivor
Not, kill this earth you live on, but; revive her
To an honourable glory that she so deserves
As Mother Earth was given to us all, to serve
We have failed her; hang your head in shame
Take responsibility; it's us all that is to blame
She; will never forget the ignorance from you
From her own precious soil, she will bury you
God as her master will stand by all her claims
She will destroy you until only the few remain
Those that will as honour her and respect her
Thus under Gods command; as we once were
So fear you not wherever you be good or bad
A new dawn; is coming, rejoice all and be glad
Suffer your sins gladly, moan not to the whys
Learn to what Gods words, came to symbolize

or Senryu this poem would have been so much shorter" . . . ; )
