The Last One In

He would sit on the lawn with his soldier toys there with the dog who was overjoyed to wag his tail against attacks, from ninjas up and down his back, until I called him in at dark, while the other kids were at the park, he could hardly wait to play again, for he was always the last one in. They said the same of him today. I took the flag and walked away, they said he went back to save a friend............ you know he was always , the last one in.
