The Last Elven King
Ships are coming to take
away the last of elven - kind
from Middle Earth
The seas are drawing them
to lands where stories do not end
The scent of distant lands
begins to seep into the ships
Journeys have beginnings - an they also have end ings
Does it seem to you that
the end is approaching soon?
As mortals it is hard to
comprehend how the immortals
view the passage of time
We live under the Doom of Mandos
Our tales are brief whereas the Elven folk
do not know the dark winds of mortality
The last elven king in Middle Earth is departing
Leaving behind mortal shores
to journey beyond the veil
To where the White Tree blooms
The home of the elven - folk
who are now leaving Middle - Earth
forever
