The Land of Perpetual Darkness

The sun never rises in the land of perpetual darkness The moon never shines No streetlights guide through the darkness No stars twinkle I stumble, I falter No light through the curtains Comforts me as I gaze through the window Silhouettes are all I see No lighted candles, no fireflies No happy memories, no childhood dreams No glowing fire on a winter night No light, no light

My imagination was captured by your intriguing and compelling imagery, Mubarika. Beautiful poetry of dark feelings of loss and being alone. Warmest wishes always.. ~Susan

Sami, Such powerful imagery of the total lack of light. I had to re-read it several times, Nice poetic framing. Sanford
