The Knight and the Sprite

Deep inside the woods of Alma stands a Knight with dented armour, Once his armour shone so bright, until he met the Little sprite, Whilst on guard the Knight so proud, heard the most deafening of sounds. He drew his sword to investigate, he saw a sprite and bellowed "Wait"!! The Sprite a little startled fell, and landed down a watering well, With bump and bang, then with a splash, into the well with such a crash, he quickly stood, regained composure, the Knight each step came ever closer Once atop the well he spied, the little sprite who'd fell inside. "Don't stand and laugh" the Sprite yelled up, "can't you see that I am stuck" The Knight was such an ingenious man, and in seconds had a clever plan. "Little Sprite climb in the pail, I'll pull you out, it never fails" With tug and pull the Sprite was free, he caught his breath beneath a tree. "Let me reward you" said the Sprite," fruit from this tree, for your delight," He shook the tree, down fell the fruit, it banged and dented the Knights suit. "I am so sorry, the Sprite did mutter, I'll mend you're suit with soap and water" Water and Armour do not mix, the Knight found himself in a terrible fix. The armour now all dents and rust, "why" ,said the Knight" did you I trust"? The Sprite bewildered and confused, "how can I make it up to you"? He beckoned that the Knight come near, and whispered this into his ear, "Look up wards Knight and see the skies, so beautiful this time of night, beneath this moon that's way up high, I give you starlit cosmic eyes, little twinkling eyes of light, to shine you're armour bright at night." The gift was made to make amends, the Sprite and Knight forever friends. So if in the dark you think your spied, remember the Knight has a A thousand eyes".
