The Key To Salvation and Salvations' Door
The Key to Salvation and Salvations’ Door
I have been given a key to salvation
It has the power to unlock every
Good thing in my life
I am looking for the door of salvation,
But along the way are distractions
and temptations.
Their mission is to keep
me far away from this door
and destroy me in the process.
Time ticks by and in my search I get
lost, not knowing which way to go.
Temptations and distractions
block every good path.
In my travels I fall off my wagon
into this dreary box, a place where
confusion, melancholy and hatred grows
There were ways around the
temptations and distractions, but I
rejected the escape routes.
In frustration I threw my key
of salvation into the darkness,
then had the audacity to wonder why
it was so hard to find.
After so long I grew exhausted,
gave up searching for the key,
and just started looking up for answers.
When I looked back down there it was,
my key to salvation
And when I looked ahead there it was,
salvations’ door.
I stand before it now
In the distance a force is trying
to draw me back into the
deepness of the dreary box
But, ironically enough, it was the
time spent there, searching,
that prepared me to put the key
into the keyhole, and turn…
