The Joy of Making People Smile
The Joy of Making People Smile

The Joy of making people smile
Or better yet to think
Making lives a little better
Without driving them to drink
Let people see that life is good
No matter what their place
To see there's always something
To put a smile upon a face
Sun rising in the mornings
Disappearing in the nights
Replaced by stars and planets
The most beautiful of sights
Colored leaves of Autumn
Fresh fallen Winter snow
Blooming flowers in the Spring
And on and on we go
Children having children
To continue life anew
Brings smiles to aging faces
You know what I say is true
Dwelling on the negative
Will never make a smile to share
May as well stay in your bed
And in your underwear
Don't have to be there with you
To know your mouth is in a grin
That you feel a little better
To continue on again
