The Journey Called Time

Let me tell you a story About a journey we each travel. What has yours been like so far? Is your path smooth or one of gravel? This journey is our opportunity To make of it what we will. When we are long past, Will our part be remembered still? This journey has lessons a plenty And seasons of glorious bloom! Our personalities shape and shift, Are tested by joys, by gloom. Our individual journey Has its own unique style and pace. It adds its own zest, sparkle and spice To the soup of the human race. How we experience our journey Is entirely down to us. Will we contribute to peace and unity? Or will we cause a fuss? It's a very special journey. When it's spent, it's spent! The Journey called Time. We often question where it went! Sterling finish to a superb write, Natasha. Every second of the stuff is precious. That realization often seems to come later in life though -- not that anyone here on the Soup is getting older, mind you, esp. not me! ~ 39 Forever

Hi Gershon. Thanks so much for your encouraging feedback. Time is definitely one of those fleeting possessions we have. Ironically we fail to appreciate it when we have it and are grieved when it's gone. (39's a good age to be forever) I'm not quite there yet lol.

Thanks Paulette. I've never written narrative before so I'm not so confident about if it's right. But the poem itself is ok :-D
