The Island and the Sea
I am an island
You are the endless sea
From behind the dusky moon side
You gently come to me.
You come to me so slowly
You move upon my shores
Exploring my pearl'd silk dunes
You make me wholly yours.
I give you all I am
the billow and the breeze
the high-steep hills
the sun-kissed meadows
rocky paths and tropic leaves.
You give me all you are
On your froth I tread my dreams
With light ripples you seduce me
and harp music of sirens.
With the low sound of your lapping waves
you lull me into sleep
Tenderly,brushing off solitude
as nocturnal wafts cover my feet.
I am an island
You are the endless sea
Ever young,ever strong
willing and determined
your tides protecting me.
With million shades of crystal blue
fresh waters flow to me
to quench my earthly passion
and fiery flames set free.
I am an island
You are the endless sea
As long as I'm an island
You 'll always be with me.
